Conducting ERP & Community Connect System Assessments To Ensure Information Security
Electronic medical record (EHR) software provider Epic offers a Community Connect program that cost-effectively enables provider network-affiliated hospitals access to enterprise-wide healthcare data. Community Connect also can provide access to other software such as enterprise resource planning (ERP). However, wider access must be provided securely.
Recently, a small hospital initiated a Community Connect implementation for a cloud-based Infor® ERP suite of products and hired a third-party to coordinate the process. The process was not progressing as planned, and the hospital contacted HCTec to conduct a full assessment of HCM, SCM, and FIN implementation activities.
